Priscila Uppal is the author of over seven books of poetry, including Ontological Necessities, shortlisted for the prestigious Griffin Poetry Prize, the largest poetry prize in the world. She has also published two novels, The Divine Economy of Salvation and To Whom It May Concern, and essays, and has edited numerous anthologies including The Exile Book of Canadian Sports Stories. Her work has been tranlated into numerous languages and published in many countries. Recently, Time Out London dubbed her "Canada's coolest poet."

Winter Sport: Poems is a collection of poems by critically-acclaimed poet Priscila Uppal, who was the poet-in-residence for the Canadian Athletes Now Fund during the Vancouver Games. Priscila wrote sport poems for the athletes and their families celebrating all winter sports, Canadian athletes and the spirit of competition throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games. These poems were read aloud daily at the CAN Fund Athlete House and were recently published by Mansfield Press Canada.
