Working background has been varied and flexible, ranging from; group leader during the inaugural year of Katimavik, a federally sponsored non-profit youth program, research technician and grower in the Floriculture industry, entrepreneurial restaurant owner, Interior Landscape Manager and finally in the non profit Co-operative Housing Sector in development, construction and management of Housing Co-operatives.

Beata's background has given her experience working with and serving non profit Board of Directors and has fostered a belief in the value and ability of grass roots organizations to identify a void and fill the niche.

Mother of 2004 Olympic Gold and Bronze Medallist Adam van Koeverden, Beata has seen first hand the experience of the positive and limitless value to the individual and society from participation in amateur sport.
